New tax for tourists in Rome

The Municipality of Rome plans to introduce a new tax for tourist to recapitalize the empty boxes of the city. Not only it will impinge on all tourists who wish to visit the beauties of the capital, but also about who goes to Rome for business, because you will pay in all Rome hotels or in any other structure for accommodation of tourists.

The tourist who arrives in Rome to spend from one to three nights will pay a contribution: a dollar a day for camp, cottage, b&b, one star hotel, 2 euros for apartments, residences and  3 star hotels. You will pay 3 euros in 4 star hotel and 5 luxury category. The figures will be multiplied by the days of stay, maximum 3. According to the Mayor of Rome, Gianni Alemanno, the tax would bring a revenue of 79,175,413 euros. The mayor said that in a few days will begin to discuss with the social partners involved in tourism in Rome without which nothing will be imposed. On the other hand, the mayor thinks of alternative proposals to the contribution of living, not to impose a new heavy tax tourists to visit and stay in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Rome hotels. Tour of ancient Rome

Thousands of years of history, marked by the presence of glorious empires, delivered in Rome an artistic legacy like few other places in the world. Everywhere in this city you can find traces of ancient cultures which rely almost all Rome hotels for the constant influx of tourists in the Italian capital.

Rome offers a series of routes in the city and its surroundings, which allow tourists to discover and enjoy the charm, its history, its art, its culture, its beauty and tradition. The Trevi Fountain is a must for anyone visiting Rome. The small square of Trevi, which contains the famous fountain, is probably the place most crowded by visitors, who, as tradition has it, throw a coin into the tub, hoping that this gesture will guarantee them to return again to Rome.

Continue along Via del Corso, a very important way of historical Rome, on which stands the Palazzo Doria Pamphili up to the famous geometric center of the city and the junction of the main streets of the same.
Continuing our tour of ancient Rome, not far from the Roman Forum, you can not help but see both the Colosseum, the symbol par excellence of Roman power and one of the most famous monuments in the world, as the Arch of Constantinople. The original name is Flavian Amphitheater in antiquity and was the site of shows with fights between gladiators and wild beasts, which could accommodate about 45,000 spectators.

Rome offers a varied gastronomy, fit to satisfy all the expectations including the Jewish cuisine, exotic Indian restaurant that offers Asian cuisine such as tandoori and kebabs. Or do the dishes more delicious cuisine Argentina (mainly meat) accompanied by an excellent selection of South American wines to be tasted with the backdrop of tango shows and folkloreti true American cuisine, great music internationally. For lovers of live music recommend a visit to Viale Trastevere, stay in Rome hotels, where you can attend performances by the best musicians in blues, rock and jazz.
